Amerisure Introduces New Pollution Products to Protect Against Environmental Risks

Contractor’s Pollution Legal Liability Insurance (CPL) endorsement provides coverage for bodily injury, property damage, environmental damage, cleanup costs and legal expense, including coverage for transportation solely and directly in support of contracting services. CPL is available to all eligible contractors for job site risks. Premises Pollution Legal Liability Insurance (PPL) endorsement provides coverage for bodily injury, property damage, environmental damage, cleanup costs and legal expense. PPL is available to all eligible insureds, contractor or non-contractors, for fixed premise risks.
According to Paul Lipscomb, Senior Product Market Analyst with Amerisure, “There are more instances where a contractor, job site or home base of construction operations has the potential for pollution liability resulting from some kind of pollution incident. This can be addressed with the CPL and PPL endorsements. These endorsements allow our PFS agencies to provide additional protection to policyholders, such as general contractors, electricians, HVAC, excavators and concrete/asphalt contractors.”
