FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 5, 2019 — Marcus Rasberry, senior risk management consultant at Amerisure, was recently recognized as Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) by the American Society of Safety
Professionals (ASSP) Central Florida chapter. He was acknowledged for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the chapter. Rasberry is now eligible to be named SPY for the ASSP’s southern region.
Rasberry, who is also a member of the Women in Safety Excellence and Blacks in Safety Excellence interest groups, was judged on a rigorous set of criteria that examined his activities during the past three to five years, including:
- Technical expertise in the field of safety
- Thorough knowledge of the operational aspects of his safety employment
- Personal achievements related to safety and health
- Professional contributions to advance the safety profession, such as fostering professional development, public/community service, educational institutions, involvement in codes and legislation, etc.
