Amerisure’s Actuarial Program provides the opportunity to learn from highly respected actuarial professionals while gaining on-the-job experience.
Program responsibilities include:
- Collecting data, performing analyses and presenting results for pricing indications and loss reserve reviews
- Developing appropriate methodologies and monitoring systems
- Collaborating with other departments regarding pricing indications or loss reserves
- Communicating with other departments to discuss informational needs and methods of presenting data
- Communicating with industry groups or others to discuss actuarial rate making and loss reserving practices
Qualifications
- Successful completion of 1-3 professional actuarial exams
- Ability and willingness to continue participation in exam program
- General software proficiency and PC programming skills enabling the individual to extract and manipulate data required to analyze and present actuarial information (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, FoxPro)
- Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in mathematics, statistics or equivalent
