Amerisure’s Actuarial Program provides the opportunity to learn from highly respected actuarial professionals while gaining on-the-job experience.

Program responsibilities include:

• Collecting data, performing analyses, and presenting results for pricing indications and loss reserve reviews
• Developing appropriate methodologies and monitoring systems
• Collaborating with other departments regarding pricing indications or loss reserves
• Communicating with other departments to discuss informational needs, methods of presenting data, etc.
• Communicating with industry groups or others to discuss actuarial rate making and loss reserving practices

Qualifications

• Successful completion of 1-3 professional actuarial exams
• Ability and willingness to continue participation in exam program
• General software proficiency and PC programming skills enabling the individual to extract and manipulate data required to analyze and present actuarial information (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, FoxPro)
• Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in mathematics, statistics or equivalent
