Karen Batchelor Ms. Batchelor has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since March 1998. She currently serves as a certified professional coach and genealogist. Previously, Ms. Batchelor worked for Eisenberg & Bogas law firm. She also served as Senior Vice President – Issues Management for the Detroit Regional Chamber. Prior to that, she was First Vice President – Civic Affairs at Comerica Inc., and Director of Corporate Relations for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company. Ms. Batchelor holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oakland University and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University. She is admitted to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Bar. Back to Top James P. Brannen Mr. Brannen has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since March 2020. Mr. Brannen most recently served as FBL Financial Group’s Chief Executive Officer until January 2020. He worked for the company for 29 years before retiring, and held various key positions in finance and executive management, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Treasurer and Tax Vice President. Prior to working at FBL Financial Group, Mr. Brannen worked at Ernst & Young, LLC as a Tax Manager. Mr. Brannen graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Back to Top Gregory J. Crabb Mr. Crabb has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since 2014, when he was elected president and chief executive officer of Amerisure Insurance Companies. He joined Amerisure in April 2008 as chief administrative officer, with accountability for claims, human resources, information technology, internal audit and legal. Prior to joining Amerisure, Mr. Crabb was a vice president in the Middle Market & Specialty Commercial Division of The Hartford, based in Hartford, Connecticut. He also served as a vice president in the claims department while at The Hartford. Before joining The Hartford in 1997, he was a practicing attorney. Mr. Crabb received a Juris Doctor from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from the University of Western Ontario. Back to Top David C. Dauch Mr. Dauch has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since December 2014. He currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM). Prior to joining AAM in 1995, he held positions at Collins & Aikman Products Company. Mr. Dauch received his Bachelor of Science from Miami University of Ohio and his Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University. Back to Top Phillip E. Love Chairman of the Board Mr. Love has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since September 2009 and was elected Chairman of the Board in May 2016. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of South Carolina Farm Bureau from 1990 until his retirement in 2013. Mr. Love received his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina. Back to Top David E. Meador Mr. Meador has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since January 2017. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Chief Administrative Officer for DTE Energy. Mr. Meador joined DTE Energy in 1997 as Vice President and Controller and has been employed with the company ever since. He also previously served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of DTE Energy. Mr. Meador earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International. Back to Top Patricia E. Mooradian Ms. Mooradian has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since May 2018. She currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Henry Ford. Prior to her role at The Henry Ford, Mooradian was regional director of marketing for 13 years at The Taubman Company, a shopping center developer and real estate company. Additionally, she worked as a director for Crestmark Bank and was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder as a trustee on the board of Central Michigan University, where she chaired the Trustee-Student Liaison Committee. Back to Top James M. Nicholson Mr. Nicholson has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since May 2014. He currently serves as Chairman of PVS Chemicals, Inc. Previously, Mr. Nicholson served as President and CEO of PVS Chemicals, Inc. Prior to joining PVS in 1995, he held positions in the property/casualty insurance industry- serving at Amerisure Insurance Companies as an underwriter, Aon Corporation as a licensed insurance agent and broker, and Electric Insurance Company as vice president of underwriting and regulatory affairs. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. Back to Top Bettina M. Whyte Ms. Whyte has been a member of Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company and the Amerisure Companies’ Board of Directors since May 2002. Ms. Whyte formerly served as Senior Advisor for Alvarez & Marsal; and Managing Director and Head of the Special Situations Group at MBIA Insurance Corp. Before joining MBIA, she was a Managing Director of AlixPartners. Earlier in her career, she held positions with Price Waterhouse and at her father’s independent insurance agency. Ms. Whyte earned a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Back to Top
