Gregory J. Crabb President and Chief Executive Officer Gregory J. Crabb was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Amerisure Insurance Companies in 2014. Mr. Crabb joined Amerisure in April 2008 as Chief Administrative Officer, with accountability for Claims, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Audit and Legal. In this role, Mr. Crabb developed and led enterprise-wide strategies focused on people, process, technology, customer service and governance. Prior to joining Amerisure, Mr. Crabb was a Vice President in the Middle Market & Specialty Commercial Division of The Hartford, based in Hartford, Connecticut. In that role, he led teams focused on underwriting, marketing and technology solutions. Mr. Crabb also served as a Vice President in the Claims Department while at The Hartford. Before joining The Hartford in 1997, he was a practicing attorney. Mr. Crabb received a Juris Doctorate from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from the University of Western Ontario. In addition to Amerisure’s Board, Mr. Crabb currently serves as a board member for the following organizations: Business Leaders for Michigan; Property Casualty Insurers Association of America; and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. Back to Top Daniel J. Graf, CFA Chief Investment Officer Dan Graf is Chief Investment Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Graf oversees the investment portfolio of Amerisure Mutual Holdings, Inc. and its insurance subsidiaries. With his strong strategic focus and knowledge of the insurance industry, he is an important member of the key strategic Committees within the Company. He began his career with Amerisure in 1986. During his tenure, he has held management positions in accounting, credit collections, investments and treasury. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President of Investments. Mr. Graf is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and history from Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan, and his master’s degree in finance from Walsh College, Troy, Michigan. He also received the Associate in Accounting and Finance (AIAF) insurance designation and completed the Management of Managers program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. Graf currently serves as a board member for the following organizations: Michigan Property & Casualty Guaranty Association; Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility; Michigan Colleges Economic Education; Michigan College Alliance; Michigan Manufacturers Association; and Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Back to Top Jayashree Ishwar Chief Underwriting Officer Jayashree Ishwar is the Chief Underwriting Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. Ms. Ishwar joined Amerisure in February 2017, and is accountable for Corporate Underwriting, Loss Control, Advanced Analytics and Product Development. Prior to joining Amerisure, Ms. Ishwar was Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for the Commercial Lines Division of ERIE Insurance Group, where she led its Underwriting, Loss Control and Predictive Analytics teams. She also served as Erie’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, where she established their ERM function. Earlier, Ms. Ishwar held positions in enterprise risk management, corporate development, rating agency management and risk modeling at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio. She began her career with the New India Assurance Company Limited, the largest property and casualty insurance company in India. Ms. Ishwar received a bachelor’s degree in life sciences and her master’s degree in neurophysiology from the University of Bombay, Bombay, India. She also received a master’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. She is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and a past President of the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association of Columbus, Ohio. Back to Top Angela M. McBride Chief Administrative Officer Angela McBride is Chief Administrative Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. She is responsible for Corporate Services, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Office of Legal Counsel and Strategic Process Design and Controls. Angela previously served as Vice President of Human Resources and before that Vice President of Internal Audit. Prior to joining Amerisure in 2009, she held leadership roles as Head of Internal Audit and Vice President of Information Technology at Handleman Company. Earlier experience included consulting roles at UHY LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Accenture. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Mich. Back to Top Shawn O’Rourke Chief Technology Officer Shawn O’Rourke is Chief Technology Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. He is responsible for securing, operating and applying the company's information technology assets toward achieving the company's strategic objectives. Mr. O'Rourke joined Amerisure in 2010. Most recently, he has led strategic discussions on the accelerated impact of data and technology on the insurance ecosystem, and Amerisure. Mr. O'Rourke has more than 30 years of consultative and company experience serving the insurance industry. Prior to joining Amerisure, he served as Chief Information Officer for Lab Safety Supply (LSS) and was key in both the digital transformation of LSS, as well as the successful acquisition of multiple companies. Mr. O'Rourke also served as Chief Information Officer at the National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI), the nation's most experienced provider of workers' compensation information, tools and services. He received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, and participated in the Stanford Executive Program, a flagship executive program offered by the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Back to Top Todd B. Ruthruff Chief Relationship Officer Todd B. Ruthruff is Chief Relationship Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Mr. Ruthruff is responsible for leading Amerisure’s field underwriting and relationship management teams; developing distribution strategies; providing insights regarding markets, products and services; directing agency management programs; and overseeing marketing, branding and corporate communications. Mr. Ruthruff began his career with Amerisure in 1989. During his tenure, he held roles of increasing responsibility including Core Service Center (CSC) Manager of the company’s Charlotte CSC and Regional Vice President in the Tampa (formerly St. Petersburg) CSC. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Agency Business Solutions, LLC (ABS), a subsidiary of Amerisure Mutual Holdings, Inc. Mr. Ruthruff graduated summa cum laude from Capella University and is a licensed insurance agent. In addition, he has served on the board of directors of several insurance agencies. Back to Top Matthew J. Simon Chief Financial Officer Matt Simon is Chief Financial Officer for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. He is responsible for financial reporting, taxes, accounts payable, budget and planning, actuarial, reinsurance, premium audit and credit and billing services. He joined Amerisure in 1998. Matt is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and has held various leadership roles in the Michigan Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association. In addition to being actively involved in fundraising for Special Olympics Michigan, he also serves on the organization’s board, as well as vice chair of their Finance Committee and Quick Response Team (investment decisions). Prior to joining Amerisure, Matt led the insurance industry audit practice for the Detroit office of Ernst & Young. He received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Mich., and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Back to Top Steve Donnelly Vice President of Claims Steve Donnelly is the Vice President of Claims for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Donnelly is responsible for the overall development and implementation of Claims department policies, procedures and programs ensuring they align with Amerisure’s strategic and operational goals. He also oversees loss cost containment, staffing, budgeting and claim-related customer service. He joined Amerisure in 2014 as the Regional Vice President of Claims for the Southwest and Midwest Regions. In this role, he was responsible for the Claim operations in the Dallas, Indianapolis, Farmington Hills, St. Louis and Phoenix Core Service Centers. Prior to joining Amerisure, Mr. Donnelly was Vice President and Claims Manager at QBE for their Midwest Region. He spent 10 years prior to that at Ohio Casualty (subsequently Liberty Mutual) as a Regional Vice President, among other roles. Mr. Donnelly has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University of Law in Chicago. Back to Top
