The Road to Recovery: What To Do When a Loss Occurs
In the wake of a natural disaster, you want to get your business up and running as soon as possible. During these stressful times, Amerisure Insurance partners with your agency throughout the claim process. Our valued agencies are here to advocate for your business and collaborate with us to ensure the claim goes smoothly.
When a loss occurs, it can be hard to know where to start on the road to recovery. Here are some tips to help get your business back on its feet:
Begin the process
Contact your Amerisure agent as soon as you can to get the process going. You’ll need to describe the extent of the property damage and any special needs you might have.
Take photos and document the details of the property damage. This will aid the adjuster during the claim process.
Wait to throw items out
While it may be tempting to throw out any damaged items, be sure to photograph them before you do.
See what services are available
Depending on the extent of the damage to your business, you may need to use some emergency services. If you need water removed, your roof covered or doors and windows boarded up, your agent can recommend an emergency services company to help protect your business.
To begin the Amerisure claim process, you’ll want to contact your agency.
